January 2, 2014

Two more days until we fly home.  The end of a vacation sometimes seems sad, but after almost 14 days away, I am ready to go home.  We have had a great time down here, relaxing, reconnecting and recharging our batteries.  Lots of time to read, reflect and just be…

I am thankful for:

Being able to go on vacation
cooling ocean breeze
the ocean
helpful staff
my salvation

I just write these off the top of my head so if they seem random you are right they are!  By being thankful I am celebrating.  I was certainly celebrating being away yesterday when I found out the temperature at home was -13 and there is snow and ice…nothing but sun here.  When the heat is too much, I celebrate how cool the ocean is and how wonderful it feels.  I love the ocean I am not a great swimmer but I have a good respect for the water and know my limits.  I love the feel of floating in salt water, rocking gently on the waves, looking out and not seeing land in the distance, I celebrate the width, the depth and the breadth of the ocean, it is like the love of God, you just can't fathom how much and how big it is for us.  The staff at the resort are always friendly and helpful, I celebrate how dedicated they are to their jobs and how happy they are…we could learn a thing or two from them.  I will always celebrate accepting Jesus as my saviour, my life, outlook and attitude has changed so much in one year!  I am living proof that grace really can change a heart.

Peace and love in Him
